Our injectable weight loss program includes a compounded medication called Semaglutide with L-Carnitine, when used in combination with a sensible diet and exercise, helps with blood sugar control and decreases your appetite. Semaglutide belongs to a class of medications called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonists, which is produced in the small intestine that stimulates insulin sensitivity and inhibits glucagon secretion. GLP-1 inhibits slows down the release of sugar into the blood so that you burn more fat, helps you feel full, and helps with weight loss.
Weight loss with Semaglutide, is a weekly injection with a titrated dose. You will slowly work your way up to the target dose that you tolerate the best and at which time you will see the most amount of weight loss. Weight loss varies and the journey is different for each person. The range of weight loss is 0-5 pounds per week. Some weeks people can have weeks with no weight loss and others with higher numbers. It is important to watch intake and be sure that you are not overeating as well as not under eating. Balance and moderation are key with this program.
When changing your diet, food choices and metabolism your body is experiencing changes. You may experience withdrawal from a high sugar, high carbohydrate diet or just side effects as your body adjusts to the hormone and changes to eating habits and food choices. These can include dizziness, fatigue, mood swings and constipation or irritation. It is important to keep in mind that weight loss can take time, and you’ll see the best results when you are using your medication in combination with a healthy diet and exercise. Sometimes the medication may not work for you, or you may not be able to tolerate the full dose due to side effects. We cannot guarantee this program will work for everyone.
The length of the program is based on individualized client health and weight loss goals.
Semaglutide is considered to be safe and effective when used in a supervised program. There are some precautions when doing a medically supervised program. Semaglutide should be used cautiously for people on other blood sugar lowering medications. Call today to see if you are a good candidate.
